Term 3 has been an incredible journey for our learners at Makutano Model School. From portfolio showcases to football matches, ballet performances to chess tournaments, our children have embodied our motto: Learn by Doing Yourself. We thank all parents and guardians for their continued support and trust. Have a blessed and restful August holiday. We look forward to welcoming you back for the new term!

At Makutano Model School, we believe in holistic education. Our newly launched Chess and Board Games Club gives learners the opportunity to develop critical thinking, strategic planning, and sportsmanship from an early age. Sessions are held weekly and are open to all grade levels. Come and watch our young grandmasters in action!

One of the cornerstones of our pedagogical approach at Makutano Model School is portfolio-based learning. Each child maintains a personal portfolio that documents their progress, showcases their creative work, and reflects their individual learning journey. From shape and fruit recognition worksheets to 'My Portfolio' cards and art projects, our learners take pride in their achievements and grow in confidence every day.

The ballet and dance programme at Makutano Model School has seen tremendous growth since its introduction. Our young dancers are learning coordination, rhythm, self-expression, and discipline — all in a fun and supportive environment. We are proud to see our children perform with confidence and joy at school events.
